Park Friends is the only non-profit group in Memphis dedicated to providing a community voice to our public parks. We are a Midtown-based group that focuses our volunteer efforts on Overton Park, the grand old park of the Memphis, but speaks out on park issues facing the entire community.
Park Friends has successfully led efforts to stop inappropriate building and development within the park. By engaging local officials and concerned citizens alike we help protect our park for today and the future. We also organize regular volunteer clean-ups, maintain the Old Forest Trail, and plant trees. |
